Simple System LucieBrix — Premium Lucerne Blocks for Chewing, Fibre & Forage Support
🍃 100% Dried Lucerne • 1 kg Compressed Blocks • High Fibre • Low Sugar & Starch
Simple System LucieBrix consists of premium lucerne, compressed into convenient 1 kg blocks (“brix”) which can be fed whole and dry to mimic grazing.
Available in two pack/format options:
-
Single 1 kg block (ideal as part feed, snack, treat or top-up)
-
20 kg bag (consisting of 20 x 1 kg blocks) — convenient for yard-wide use.
-
Lucie Brix are suitable for horses & ponies at all levels of work and rest, for occupying bored horses, those with ulcers, and horses with metabolic issues (but not suitable for elderly or dentally-challenged horses when fed dry).
✅ Key Benefits
-
Encourages chewing and saliva production — the block format mimics grazing behaviour rather than rapid feeding.
-
High fibre, low sugar & starch formula (Sugar < 7%, Starch < 5%) helps support calmer diet regimes.
-
100% lucerne means natural levels of vitamins & minerals contained in the forage itself; no added cereals or molasses.
-
Convenient portioning: 1 kg blocks make it easier to regulate feed amounts or use as treat / add-on.

🪣 Feeding & Usage Guide
-
Feed whole & dry — block format; for horses with good dentition.
-
Use up to 1 block per 100 kg bodyweight per day. Example: a 500 kg horse = up to ~5 blocks/day (if replacing forage) but adjust as per condition and forage availability.
-
Not recommended for elderly or dentally-challenged horses when fed dry — in those cases soak or choose a more suitable format.
-
Great as part or complete forage substitute depending on your feeding plan and forage availability.
-
Ensure fresh, clean water is always available.
-
Store in a cool, dry place; keep blocks sealed or protected from moisture.
