Equimins Wound Powder
🌱 First-aid wound powder — fast-acting dressing for minor cuts, saddle sores, bites & scratches
Short Overview
This easy-to-apply wound powder from Equimins is designed for everyday stable first-aid. It works as a blood-coagulant and protective dressing for minor wounds, bites, and saddle-sores — helping stop bleeding quickly, promote healing, and keep flies at bay. It’s a must-have for any yard first-aid kit.
✅ Key Benefits
– Helps stop bleeding quickly and begins clotting — ideal for cuts, nicks or bites.
– Acts as a protective dressing — shields wounds from dirt, dust and flies while healing.
– Provides a drying formulation — useful for wounds that ooze or are slow to begin healing.
– Easy to use: simply puff onto the wound — no mixing or messy creams needed.
– Compact 125 g “puffer-bottle” packaging — convenient to keep in your first-aid kit or stable box.
– Suitable for a range of minor injuries: cuts, scratches, saddle-sores, biting wounds or general skin nicks.
🧾 Composition / Ingredients
Contains a traditional blend including potassium aluminium sulphate, sulphur, tannic acid, activated charcoal, copper sulphate, hydrated lime and iodoform — a classic coagulating/drying and antiseptic formulation used in equine wound care.
🐴 Usage Instructions
– Remove cap and puff the powder freely onto clean, dry wound area.
– Gently tap the base if the powder becomes blocked — the “puffer” hole can clog.
– For small wounds, apply after cleaning with water or antiseptic. For oozing/slow-healing wounds, re-apply daily until scab forms.
– Keep out of reach of children. Store sealed in a cool, dry place.
– For horses, ponies, and suitable livestock — not intended as a substitute for veterinary care if a wound is deep or serious.
