Baileys No. 3 Stud & Youngstock Cubes – Versatile Non-Heating Cubes for Breeding & Growing Stock🌿 Non-Heating • Barley-Free • Cost-Effective Stud Nutrition
Baileys No. 3 Stud & Youngstock Cubes are a highly energy-dense, non-heating cube feed designed for pregnant & lactating mares, growing youngstock and covering stallions. Ideal for larger groups or horses with limited appetite, the concentrated form means less volume for required nutrients — excellent for digestively sensitive or excitable animals.
|
- Meets the high demands of mares in foal/lactation and youngstock growing hard.
- Concentrated feed volume — ideal for horses with reduced appetite or needing controlled feeding.
- Non-heating & lower starch to help calmer behaviour in sensitive animals.
- Barley-free feed for easier digestibility and reduced excitability risk.
- Flexible feeding options: feed full rate alone or reduced plus a balancer for customised calorie intake.

- If feeding alongside a balancer: you can reduce the cube quantity and supplement with a balancer to maintain micronutrients while controlling calories.
- Divide the daily ration into 2–3 meals for better digestion and to reduce glycaemic spikes.
- Introduce gradually over 4–7 days when switching feed to reduce risk of digestive upset.
Is No. 3 Stud & Youngstock Cubes suitable for breeding mares?
Yes — it is specifically targeted at pregnant and lactating mares with moderate to high calorific needs.
Can youngstock or stallions use it?
Yes — designed for growing youngstock of all ages, and covering stallions especially needing a non-heating feed.
Is it heating?
It is described as “non-heating” and a lower starch alternative to the Mix version — still nutrient dense but designed for calmer energy.
Can I feed it alongside a balancer?
Yes — if you feed reduced amounts, you can use a balancer to maintain the vitamin & mineral profile while controlling calorie intake.
How should I introduce it?
Introduce gradually over 4–7 days; monitor condition, appetite and digestive behaviour during transition.
