Fibre Plus Nuggets (20kg)

Keep your horse’s digestive system active, healthy, and satisfied with Fibre Plus Nuggets (20kg). Formulated as a high-fibre, low-starch nugget feed, this versatile equine ration is designed to deliver non-heating energy while supporting optimal hindgut motility for all horses, ponies, and resting equines.

Chewing fibre is the primary natural mechanism horses use to produce saliva and buffer stomach acid. Fibre Plus Nuggets are specifically structured into large, dust-free chunky bites that encourage prolonged chewing, preventing bolting and promoting dental wear. High in digestible fibre and low in sugar and starch, this feed provides a gentle source of slow-release energy without causing excitability or metabolic spikes. Whether fed as a daily bucket feed, scattered in a snack ball for stable boredom relief, or soaked into a comforting mash, it serves as an excellent nutritional foundation or partial hay replacer for horses on restricted forage.

🐴 Why Choose Fibre Plus Nuggets?

• 🌾 High Fibre & Digestible Energy: Rich in quality plant fibres to maintain steady hindgut fermentation and overall digestive wellness.
• ⚡ Low Starch & Non-Heating: Provides smooth, slow-release energy that won't induce excitability, making it ideal for sharp or resting stock.
• ⏱️ Encourages Prolonged Chewing: Large chunky nugget structure increases chew counts, stimulating acid-buffering saliva production.
• 🎾 Versatile Stable Snack: Perfect for use in treat balls, scatter feeding, or ground rewards to alleviate stable boredom.
• 🥣 Soakable For Veteran Care: Can be easily soaked in warm water to form a soft, palatable porridge for older horses with worn teeth.

📋 Feeding & Yard Management Guide

Recommended Daily Feeding Allocation:

• As a Partial Hay Replacer: Feed up to 0.5kg – 1.0kg per 100kg body weight daily to replace a portion of the hay ration.
• As a Bucket Feed / Snack: Add 250g – 500g per feed alongside standard chaff or balancer.

Critical Management Guidelines:

1. Forage First: Always ensure adequate access to clean forage (hay, haylage, or pasture) unless using Fibre Plus Nuggets under veterinary advice for total hay replacement.
2. Soaking for Dental Care: For older horses or those with missing molars, soak 1 part nuggets to 2 parts warm water for 10–15 minutes until soft.
3. Boredom Relief Strategy: Place dry nuggets inside a rolling feed toy or scatter across clean straw bedding to extend feeding time in the stable.
4. ⭐ Top Tip: Fibre Plus Nuggets are fantastic for taking to competitions or away-shows! Horses that refuse unfamiliar stable hay will often happily munch these nuggets, ensuring their gut stays moving during travel stress.
